The oldest of the four Boisdales in London, Belgravia is a true institution. A Scottish restaurant famed for its live jazz, it has a members’ club feel minus the stuffiness, making it a solid choice for a relaxed weekday supper. Wagyu burgers and Aberdeenshire dry-aged steaks from grass-fed Highland cattle are excellent but our choice is the convivial chateaubriand served with a black truffle sauce, Cornish new potatoes and Isle of Wight heritage tomatoes with red onion and basil. The wine list is keenly priced, the service is excellent and its cigar terrace is the best in London – perfect for a postprandial whisky.
