Carpenè Malvolti '1868' Conegliano Valdobbiadene Superiore, Prosecco Extra Dry NV
Italy, Veneto - 1868
Price £13.50
Delicate, aromatic and fruity with enticing notes of fresh green apple and floral nuances. Lively, with a crisp acidity enveloped in soft, gentle bubbles and an elegant, dry finish.
Carpenè Malvolti was founded in 1868 by Antonio Carpenè and was the first winery ever to produce a quality Prosecco. A qualified chemist, he was convinced that a wine as good as Champagne could be produced in Italy. He applied his knowledge to the Prosecco grape, which is now known as Glera, and produced what we now know today as Prosecco.
