Millesimato Prosecco, Villa Sandi
Italy, Veneto -
Villa Sandi’s long history, tradition and devotion to winemaking marks them as an iconic premium Prosecco producer. Villa Sandi is an exquisite Palladian-style villa dating back to 1622, located in the heart of the prosecco DOCG zone. They refrigerate the Prosecco upon crushing, keeping it fresh and fermenting on demand. This unique method guarantees Villa Sandi Prosecco is always fresh and lively and has ensured Villa Sandi’s standing as Italy’s leading Prosecco. A remarkable version of the classic Italian sparkling wine. Made in the cool, green hills of the north-east Veneto region, just north of Venice, its appeal lies in its simple, fresh fruitiness, fizzy bubbles and light, easily digestibility.
Made with glera grapes, this Prosseco is abundant in bubbles, with a very fine, persistent perlage and is a very pale straw linen colour. An intensely fruity aroma with clear hints of ripe golden apple with a pleasant and elegant flowery sensation reminiscent of acacia flowers. Fresh and soft to the palate and flavoursome on the back of the tongue; the Millesimato has an agreeably fruity and harmonious finish. Best served as an aperitif, it goes exceptionally well with herbs and thus would pair well with rosemary focaccia, marinated olives or fish or other herb based courses.
