Hot fudge butter peanut sauce

Serves 10-14 Desserts and puddings

Ingredients

  • 75g light brown sugar
  • 60g golden syrup
  • 25g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 275ml double cream
  • 80g smooth peanut butter
  • 1/4tsp fine sea salt
  • 100g dark chocolate, finely chopped

Method

Add all the ingredients apart from the chocolate into a pan. Over a medium heat, bring the sauce to a simmer, stirring frequently, then let it cook for 3-5 minutes until smooth and glossy.

Remove from the heat and stir in the chocolate until melted. Let the sauce cool and thicken a little for 10 minutes.

If not using straight away, pour it into a clean jar and store in the fridge.
