Sticky barbecued pork with Asian greens

Ingredients

  • 2tbsp char siu or hoisin sauce
  • 2tbsp spicy black bean sauce
  • 2 x 400g pork fillets
  • Vegetable oil, for brushing
  • 2 bunches choi sum, trimmed
  • 2tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

To serve

  • 3 salad onions, thinly sliced
  • 1tsp sesame seeds, toasted

Method

Place the char siu or hoisin and black bean sauces in a bowl and mix to combine.

Preheat a griddle pan over high heat.

Brush the pork with oil and cook for 15 minutes, turning occasionally.

Brush with the sauce mixture and cook for a further 1-2 minutes until caramelised and cooked through.

Place the choi sum in a large pan of salted boiling water and cook for 4 minutes or until tender.

Drain, transfer to a bowl and add the oyster sauce, soy sauce and garlic then toss to combine.

Slice the pork and place on a serving plate with the choi sum. Sprinkle with the salad onions and sesame seeds to serve.
