Cambio de Tercio

163 Old Brompton Rd, London

Situated on Old Brompton Road, Cambio de Tercio has the unassuming feel of a neighbourhood restaurant, but with food that has attracted considerably more attention – and Spanish celebrity diners such as Rafael Nadal. The oldest in a trio (soon to be a quartet) of eateries by Rioja native Abel Lusa, signature tapas here include oxtail caramelised in red wine with green apple, and foie gras with Pedro Ximénez and manchego cheese ‘air’ (an ultra-light mousse). Some traditional options dot the menu, including a very tasty chargrilled octopus with potato parmentier; the wine list is long and suitably Spanish.
