Pollen Street Social’s jaunty little sister may be directly across the road, but this is where the resemblance ends. With its ox-blood drapes and shadowy, Parisian buzz, Little Social could have been here for years. The food is rich, sensual and consists entirely of British ingredients: Irish ox cheeks, roasted bone marrow and red mullet from Cornwall. Truffles always play a key role when in season – they have featured a full ‘truffle menu’ in the past – and are shaved over everything, from fried eggs and pasta, to an interesting take on clotted cream ice cream.
