The neighbourhood surrounding a major railway station tends not to be the most glamorous part of any city, and Brussels is no exception. Which is part of the reason a stay at Be Manos, a stylish, boutique – and yes, glamorous – property only five minutes’ drive from the Eurostar terminal is so welcome. This is no drab commuter stop-over; rooms are spacious, decked out in plush fabrics, and some have small balconies. Others lean towards the ‘open concept’ side of things, with the bathroom almost spilling into the bedroom – not for everyone perhaps, but for single travellers or couples, it’s a great find.
