Casona Sforza Hotel

Mexico

Shaped like a luxury honeycomb designed for the luckiest bees among us, you could place the
11 vaulted-ceiling suites of Casona Sforza and its huge centrepiece of a swimming pool anywhere in the world and it would probably leave you speechless.

That it’s in the Mexican province of Oaxaca, specifically amid the oaks, mangroves and cypress trees of the verdant, lush landscape of the Colotepec river delta, with its sandy beaches, only makes it even more special than the enticing pictures suggest. Interiors are decked out with textiles, pottery and furniture from local crafts people and food is cooked with a farm-to-table ethos, which is exactly what you want from a gastronomically rich area such as this, which has inspired so many. Casona Sforza officially opened last year, but due to recent restrictions, it’s still very much a hidden gem, so get in there quick before the whole world discovers it.
