Hotel Supetar Cavtat Hotel

Croatia

Cavtat to the scenic stretch of Croatia’s southern reaches and the warm waters of the Adriatic, Hotel Supetar is ideally situated to make the most of a boutique getaway. Close to the Montenegrin border, nestled between two bays, the Twenties villa is built on the remains of the ancient Epidaurum settlement, with pretty gardens and 16 spacious rooms a stone’s throw from the waterfront. Quiet luxury is the deal, and after a recent renovation, each room is unique, although marble bathrooms are emblematic. For lazy days, there’s the pool and lounge bar, while beyond, the cobbled streets of the Old Town make for an atmospheric saunter. The harbour leads off for sailing trips and diving opportunities – Cavtat has one of the largest underwater amphora sites and the area is replete with sink holes, wrecks, caves and channels. The buzz of Dubrovnik, with its green summer market, is a quick drive away; the wine bar and terrace restaurant majoring in Dalmatian fare await your return.
