Macerate the strawberries in a bowl with the orange juice and liqueur for about an hour.
Beat the cream in a cold glass bowl (half an hour in the fridge should chill the glass sufficiently), gradually folding in icing sugar and a few drops of vanilla to taste.
Divide half the strawberries and their juices between four dishes and spoon over some whipped cream. Top with more strawberries and serve immediately.
