Blueprint Café

Design Museum, London

For more than twenty years, the Blueprint Café above the Design Museum has been offering diners one of the best locations in London – the view looking out to the city is nothing short of spectacular (particularly at night). This alone makes any trip worthwhile, but don’t underestimate the food. Mark Jarvis is new to the stoves here, but first impressions are good. It’s non-fussy food with focus on flavour not foams, so think roast suckling pig, baby turnips and apple sauce; roasted shoulder and neck of lamb with veg; and comforting puds such as chocolate brownie with Earl Grey custard.
