Southwark, London
After catapulting onto the London food scene at Borough Market, selling fresh lobster rolls from a converted VW camper van, Bob’s Lobster has pitched up permanently near London Bridge. It’s a happily casual affair with a roll call of larger-than-life American classics on the menu: lobster rolls bulging with succulent lobster claw and lashings of rapeseed mayonnaise, mac ’n’ cheese stuffed with chunks of shellfish, and mountains of crispy fried oysters. Desserts are just as devilish – brownies with molten middles hidden under towers of whipped cream and sprinkles.
