Always packed, even though it’s on a quieter stretch of the Old Brompton Road, and it’s a midweek night – and that’s because restaurateur Abel Lusa has got it right yet again. The newest member of his mini empire is this dedicated sherry bar which claims to have more sherries on offer than anywhere. Grab one of the (few) tables and tuck into the selection of cured meats such as acorn-fed Iberico ham, or tapas – the foie gras with Pedro Ximénez reduction and the meatballs with palo cortado ‘fragrance’ are both favourites. There is live music many weeknights too.
