As dinner at the farm goes, it doesn’t get
much better than this. Pared-back luxury
awaits at chefs Tom Adams and April
Bloomfield’s Georgian B&B, set in 27ha of
rolling hills. We’re here for Sunday lunch
and, as you’d expect, the menu depends
on the day’s spoils. Our visit coincides
with asparagus season, represented in
a crisp starter, followed by ham, brawn
and smoked sausage, and Bulstone
Springs chicken. A side of wild garlic,
Swiss chard gratin and garden salad
tastes like it only just left the ground – as
indeed it did. Book ahead and consider
staying over.
