Fischer’s Baslow Hall

Bakewell, UK

Easter is a time of tradition as well as fresh beginnings, and you can find both at one of Derbyshire’s most revered dining institutions. At Fischer’s in April, sunshine floods the elegant dining room through 100-year-old window panes, falling on snowy tablecloths and classic pairings such as halibut in a complex langoustine broth. Other plates, such as rhubarb spiked with vodka and lemon thyme, demonstrate a touch of contemporary flair. All 11 rooms are individually decorated in zesty tones, while the rolling gardens are awash with spring bulbs at this time of year. fischers-baslowhall.co.uk
