Everyone’s made a lot of fuss about Franco Manca since the first branch opened in Brixton market a few years back, and even if you’re in the thin-crust camp, it’s hard not to love the chewy, moreish perfection of their sourdough crust. Toppings are simple, high-quality, British: Somerset pecorino, Gloucester old spot ham, organic chorizo. There’s only about six or seven pizzas (including a couple of specials) on offer at any one time – but that’s all the choice you need when the pizzas are this good. Of the three existing locations, we love the buzz and outdoor seating of the one in Chiswick. AM.
