Hill & Szrok

Who better to trust for a proper meat supper than your butcher? East London butcher by day, restaurant by night, Hill & Szrok have a new chef in the kitchen: William Gleave (of P Franco and Bright fame). Dinner, served around the butcher’s block, starts with snacks like egg mayonnaise with brown shrimp, and glazed ham and mustard. But you’re here for the mains: a revival of perfectly executed British classics – Lancashire hotpot and pork collar, say. Add the unique setting and convivial open kitchen and it feels like a supperclub in all the right ways.
