Peckham
The latest addition to Peckham’s flourishing restaurant scene, Kudu is the debut offering from Patrick Williams and Amy Corbin (whose father, Chris, is one half of restaurant gurus Corbin & King). Artfully distressed interiors match the area’s creative vibe, but there’s nothing unrefined about Williams’ menus. Cauliflower arrives perfectly golden and doused in rich raisin purée, while mussels cooked in a potjie (coal-cooking pot) are a rich foil to fluffy seaweed gnocchi. Don’t miss the cumin brioche, which is served with an entire pan of butter infused with lardons.
