Celebrating souvlaki (skewered meat), this Soho haunt puts bona fide Athenian flavours on the map. Elias Mamalakis, a star in the Greek food world, has designed the menu to a tee. Cooked over a charcoal grill, the souvlakia are fresh and tasty as can be. Order across the menu for a bespoke feast. For the skewers, try spiced lamb, chicken with Florina peppers and chilli and wild boar sausage from near Mount Olympus. Dips should include classic tzatziki and bright beetroot and the manouri cheese salad works well with the meat and Greek pitta, which soaks up the juices. Don’t forget the shot of ouzo… Opa! BG.
