The Aumbry

2 Church Lane, Prestwich, Manchester

Unassumingly located in two converted Victorian cottages half-way down Church Lane, in the suburb of Prestwich, The Aumbry is a very homely restaurant indeed. Emphasis is on traditional British cuisine but with a twist. Beef dripping and homemade bread is a welcome, guilty pleasure; Bury black pudding, Scotch egg, and hare cooked in hay are highlights. Husband and wife team Laurence and Mary-Ellen couldn’t give you more reason to head out of the bright lights of the city centre and have them spoil you with down-to-earth service and innovative food.
