51 Queen Caroline St, Hammersmith, Greater London
The lack of atmosphere hasn’t put off diners who have been flocking to this Hammersmith institution since it opened in 1989. It’s not hard to see why. Brothers Adrian and Michael Daniel have created a feast with subtle Thai, Indo, British and Italian flavours, to name a few. Get your taste buds going with the mezze platter, which includes feta and cous-cous fritters and potato blini, before moving onto creamy truffle risotto cake with oyster and chestnut mushrooms or a soft butternut squash, basil and goat’s cheese rotolo. Portions are generous, so try to leave room for dessert.
