National Museum Of Scotland, Chambers St, Edinburgh
Learn more about Scotland’s history and the quality of its produce at Edinburgh restaurateur James Thomson’s (of Witchery fame) rooftop restaurant in the Museum of Scotland. The menu is packed with top-quality Scottish ingredients such as hand-dived scallops from the Isle of Mull, Argyll oysters, smoked venison and Scottish beef, all of which are used with aplomb. Housed in a modern turret design – complete with interior of oak tables, leather chairs and tweed banquettes – this is a great spot to hole up in on a cold day and gaze across at the city sights below.
