Hotel Del Len Hotel

Italy

In this alpine concerto of oak, pine and sustainability, reclaimed wood sings from the walls, floors and ceilings, from which clever book-nooks, tables, stools and cabinets organically emerge. Even placemats are a round of trunk, thinned into a topographical ring for your room-service mug. Its 22 rooms offer chalet sophistication, the wood panelling occasionally broken by poster-paint splashes – mustard curtains, forest panels, a scarlet armchair. Under the beds you’ll find Magma13 polymer, said to promote sleep and enhance natural ambient energy. The bathrooms are a thing of calm beauty, with warm grey stone.

Grey turns black in the sixth-floor spa, which has the hotel’s best view. Lie back between bio-saunas, hot tubs and steam rooms to admire the Cortina d’Ampezzo mountainside through the great glass front. Discover Ampezzo-inspired dishes at Restaurant de Len, and sip on barrel-aged cocktails at the bar.
