A LOCKE ON LISBON
Renowned for sleek city-living pads, Locke’s aparthotels have made a Portuguese debut. The launch marks Locke’s biggest property to
date: 370 rooms, suites and penthouses sprawled across nine floors
on the historic site of a former convent. Taking advantage of the
fair-weather city, Locke de Santa Joana comes with a spacious terrace,
courtyard and pool. True to the brand, this Lisbon post features
modern, design-rich interiors with emphasis on lounges and kitchens,
while a workout studio, archaeological museum and co-working spaces
complete the scene. It also hosts a café and all-day Mediterranean
restaurant, with several bars set to shake things up come autumn.
The brand shows no signs of slowing down, either, with further new
hotels planned in Paris and Copenhagen in 2024.
