Palm Heights Hotel

Cayman Islands

Pegged as the Cayman Islands’ first all-suite boutique hotel and bringing quite the sea change, this breezy base takes a plum spot aside the big brands of Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman. Here, a tropical modernist aesthetic meets the retro sway of the 1970s by way of desert hues, covetable furniture and abstract art, conceptualised, in part, to pay homage to the onset of the Caribbean as an enticing destination for the jet-set crowd.

It’s a design vernacular not out of place with the likes of Tel Aviv, Tulum or Miami. Suites have lounges, unique vintage pieces, outdoor space and ocean views. When it comes to basking, pick up a read at the on-site bookstore and settle by the palm-fringed pool or on the powdery stretch of sand.

On the food front, local produce and market fish are on the menu at Tillies. And don’t miss a rum-based sundowner at Coconut Club, one of the island’s best spots to watch the sun slink into the horizon.
