It’s a new era for IHG Hotels & Resort’s Regent brand as the group reintroduces itself to California’s golden coastline with the arrival of Regent Santa Monica Beach. Some may remember their original hallmark, Regent Beverly Wilshire – it served as the backdrop to the film Pretty Woman – and the West Coast comeback draws on the natural beauty of the Pacific Ocean as well as ever-fashionable LA as design inspiration. Find 167 spacious rooms and suites (starting at 67sq m), many of them with views of the ocean and Santa Monica Pier. Other features include a Guerlain Wellness Spa and four restaurants under the helm of chef Michael Mina. And it doesn’t end there: openings of Regent Jeddah and Regent Kyoto are on the horizon too.
