Things are heating up in Arizona with the arrival of Ritz-Carlton’s first North American property in over a decade. Coming this autumn to Scottsdale, where nature meets western culture, Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley, The Palmeraie is set to become a go-to desert escape in the southwest. With 215 rooms planned for the estate, the design will take inspirational cues from traditional casitas styling and the surrounding natural beauty. Centre stage will be a 120m swimming pool – one of the largest in North America – stretching towards the imposing Camelback Mountain on the horizon. Citrus groves and meditation gardens will further add to the serenity, while elsewhere a tequila and mezcal-focused bar and luxurious spa are expected.
