ROYALLY INCLINED
In what might be one of the most exciting launches for Morocco’s
White City, Royal Mansour Casablanca sets in motion a new chapter
in the country’s gold standard of hospitality. Following an eight-year
rebuild, it lays claims to the site that was once the city’s most sought
after hotel, drawing elite travellers from around the world during the
Fifties. The grand doors swung open anew last month to reveal a
homage to the building’s avant-garde heritage – opulence has been
given a modern shake-up but remains supreme, from service to
interiors. Three restaurants including La Brasserie, headed up by
three-starred-Michelin chef Eric Frechon, have pushed the hotel to
top-tier gastronomy standards too.
