Switzerland
Slick architecture meets all-out nature at The Grand Hôtel Belvédère – set to open in June as Beaumier's first Swiss property. Set in the village of Wengen amid a private forest, each of its 90 rooms and suites – split over two buildings – overlooks the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Channelling a modern Alpine aesthetic that draws inspiration from Berner Oberland artisan heritage, rooms hone natural materials: limestone walls, green granite bathrooms, thick wool textiles. Two restaurants put a contemporary spin on traditional Swiss fare. There are also two pools, a plush spa and a roll-call of activities embracing the great outdoors.
