Towering in a triumphant lattice of teal-hued steel in New York’s creative Tribeca, the Warren Street Hotel is the latest feather in hotelier Kit Kemp’s fashionable cap. Set against the neighbourhood’s red-brick warehouses and cobbled streets, it’s Firmdale’s third Manhattan property, with 69 individually styled rooms and suites. Kemp’s bold style prevails – expect an expertly balanced vignette of pattern, colour and embellishment with whimsical lighting, custom-designed upholstery and eclectic art. Some suites offer landscaped terraces and gardens, others sweeping views of the Hudson. An all-day brasserie serving globally influenced classics continues the colourful theme, as does an Orangery filled with British ceramic.
