Win a Champagne trip for two with 25 tastings
We can’t think of a better way to toast 25 years of Food and Travel than by sampling 25 champagnes in 25 hours – we’ve joined with Grape Escapes to send our winner on an overnight tasting extravaganza in Épernay
Any celebration including a drop of the world’s most renowned fizz goes off with a bang, and with so many fine varieties in the Champagne region, finding your favourite is a mission in itself. To give you a head start – and the chance to soak up local viniculture in situ – we’re offering an extraordinary tasting experience: no fewer than 25 champagnes during a trip to Épernay.
The winner will take a guest to the ‘capital’ of the Champagne region, where you’ll stay overnight at the four-star Hotel Jean Moët in either a double or twin room, with breakfast included. Here, the scene will be set for your 25 hours of discovery: you’ll be tasting 14 champagnes at three different venues, before travelling to the winding streets of the hilltop village of Hautvillers, where you’ll sample a further six, accompanied by a carefully chosen selection of local cheeses and delicacies. To take your knowledge and understanding of the luxurious bubbles a step further, you’ll go behind the scenes at a small, family-run champagne house to see the process at first hand, from press to bottle. The prize
The winner will receive overnight accommodation for two, including breakfast, in Hotel Jean Moët, Épernay, plus local tasting experiences comprising 25 champagnes and a tour of a champagne house.
Local transport is included. The prize does not include travel to Épernay or food and drinks not specified. The competition closes at 5pm on 31 January 2023, and the prize must be booked at least six weeks in advance of travel and redeemed by 31 December 2023, subject to availability. The winner must be over 18 and the prize is non-transferable.
